The Writer

Writing, for me, has always been a struggle.  First, my typing is atrocious, my spelling worse. I have dyslexia, ADHD and audio processing issues.  I lack discipline.  But, boy can I tell a story. It didn’t even need to be true, so long as it captures my listeners' attention.

I found, later in my career, that re-writing was the key to good writing, good storytelling. Ten, twenty reads and re-writes and what I've written may bwegin to capture even my attention.

Same with photography. Your work will tell you what it needs, if you listen. Here is a sample of stories, essays, ramblings, rants I've collected over the years.

A bistro in the South of France. A glass of wine, my fountan pen and journal and I begin to write. It doesn't matter what, so long as I begin. Perhaps something useful will fall out on the page. I'll never know until I start.
