This two-day workshop will lead you through the actual production of a feature film or television series, as you learn what it takes and who the people are who create the magic of movies and television. Learn how to get into film production, what it takes to succeed as you grow your career.
David H. Lyman, the weekend's leader, has been training and mentoring the world's filmmakers and photographers for more than 30 years. He is an authority on the creative process and career building and an inspirational lecturer and workshop leader. David's Saturday lecture explores the artist's personality and how to succeed while leading a creative life. He covers the Creative Process and how to use it to build a career. His "8 Keys That Can Unlock Creativity," is a unique look at the steps to achieving success in any career field, but especially in the world of creative professionals.
David is joined by Hollywood and London film producers and Production Manager, who are in the position of hiring crews and media professionals, and who bring real on the job experience to the weekend.
The Symposium outlines the production career for Above the Line and Below the Line, including working as Production Assistants, actors and extras, drivers, location managers, hair and make-up artists, set carpenters and electricians, financial and legal assistants, line producers and assistant directors. We cover the more creative careers as storytellers, screenwriters, directors, and content creators.
